Nodd is a tech startup focused on developing innovative solutions for the emerging era of video-first social commerce and collaboration.
↳ The Method
Position Nodd as a platform that provides a space for social commerce industry professionals to connect, learn, and discover opportunities. We initiated this by launching a proof-of-concept newsletter, with an editorial strategy that highlighted the best-of-the-best social collabs weekly — a unique angle that resonated with brand marketers, talent managers, and beyond. This validated the concept for the industry monitor feed. We also conducted user interviews with industry professionals to understand their needs, leading to the discovery that professionals desired access to exciting job opportunities, curated creator lists, and tools for easier video production. Cross-functional collaboration with design, product, and experiential teams helped in refining features and messaging to support these desires. These efforts provided the data that led to the Nodd feed. From there, we developed and executed a go-to-market strategy, leveraging digital acquisition channels and experiential moments to connect with industry professionals.

Acquiring 6k subscribers within a 2-month period for proof of concept newsletter. Generating a private beta waitlist of 20k users within 2 months, exceeding initial projections by 50%. Achieving a 50% open rate and 8% click-through rate, outperforming industry benchmarks by 25%. Connecting brand marketers from companies like Coca Cola, Jack Daniels, & Ketchum that resulted in social collabs w/ 10M+ impressions.
